Covid-19 has changed our lives in so many ways including filing taxes. According to Turbotax on March 28th, the deadline for filing with the IRS was pushed back from April 15th to July 15th.
Normally your federal and state taxes are due the same day. However, many states have delayed their tax due dates but not all states are using the July 15th deadline. The National Taxpayers Union Foundation has a state by state list of when your state taxes are now due.
Remember that if you do not file by the deadlines, you will be required to file for an extension with the IRS and possibly with your state.
